March 28, 2014 -- More Loud Music in the London Square Parking Lot

It was around 11:40 a.m., and someone drove into the London Square Apartments parking lot with their stereo cranked up loud enough to shake the windows.  You want to know what the loud noise was like?  It felt like physically being beaten with a lead pipe, that's how loud it was.

Since FBPD seems to have no clue about noise ordinances, allow me to "educate".  This was pulled from here: http://www.nonoise.org/lawlib/cities/dallas.htm

"SEC. 30-1. NOISES INTERFERING WITH ENJOYMENT OF PROPERTY OR PUBLIC PEACE AND COMFORT.
No person shall make or cause to be made any loud and raucous noise in the city which is offensive to the ordinary sensibilities of the inhabitants of the city, which noise renders the enjoyment of life or property uncomfortable or interferes with public peace and comfort. (Ord. 13744)"

You say, "Well that's Dallas, not Farmers Branch, TX"?  How about this from the State of Texas: http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/PE/htm/PE.42.htm

"TITLE 9. OFFENSES AGAINST PUBLIC ORDER AND DECENCY

CHAPTER 42. DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND RELATED OFFENSES
Sec. 42.01. DISORDERLY CONDUCT. (a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly:
(5) makes unreasonable noise in a public place other than a sport shooting range, as defined by Section 250.001, Local Government Code, or in or near a private residence that he has no right to occupy;"
Someone operating his/her stereo to the point that it disturbs others is done intentionally and knowingly. No one on planet Earth plays their stereo in a parking lot so loud it rattles windows "accidentally".
Hence, FBPD should be going after these noisemakers, but they don't. State law, which they've claimed time and again that they enforce is ignored consistently.
So you see, Mr. Greer, "law enforcement" in this prot-ghetto of a "city" is a very sorry joke.
