May 23, 2014 -- Loud Stereo Outside Again

It was 3:01 p.m. when a loud stereo went rolling around into one of the apartment complex lots.  I didn't get to see if it was here at London Square Apartments.  So it could have been at Courtyards instead, for all I know.  What I'm certain of is that it was loud enough to vibrate the window, and that after maybe 30 seconds, it was turned off.  If I were to hazard a guess, someone that's familiar with the "complaining crazy woman" turned off their stereo after they realized they were around my apartment.  But it's just a guess; I don't know for a fact.

FBPD, if I could have the attention of one of your officers?  I'm irritated when a loud stereo disturbs me, because it's a direct violation of state law.  State law is something FBPD is supposed to enforce.  It's been stated to me several times by your own officers.  I'd appreciate it if your officers would write tickets for these infractions.  If more of these drivers were given citations for disturbing the peace or for disorderly conduct, then word would get out, hopefully reducing the number of incidents.

After serving on a jury regarding a missing front license plate on a vehicle a couple of years ago, I'm aware that 1) FBPD will enforce "small potato" laws and 2) their video cameras pick up sound.

So how hard would it be to record these disturbances to prove it to a jury that the event occurred?  It would be easier to catch these infractions if proper patrols were conducted.
