This event occurred at the next door complex, called Courtyards of Valley View. It's a smaller complex that's looking a bit more worn than London Square.
I was standing on the corner watching this beat up blue truck speed up to the turning lane to enter the Courtyards. The driver's tires screeched and skidded several times, and then turned as fast as possible into the entry. This driver was even in a big hurry to park.
If memory serves, tenants at the Courtyards are assigned their own parking spaces. Whatever the driver's reason for the "rush", that parking space wasn't going anywhere. I think we can rule out a bathroom, because there are several options on the way down Valley View, before you reach the two complexes.
All the same, I was thankful there wasn't any pedestrians in the parking lot at Courtyards, because somebody would have gotten squished with that sort of maniac driving.
