October 23, 2013 -- Close Call with a Carrera

At 4:00 p.m. I was heading for the local Wendy's to blog.  Even though I have a few posts to make here, what I'm eager to blog about has nothing to do with gripes.  It's my "happy blog," my hobby blog.

But anyway, I digress.  I was walking through the parking lot and this guy in a black Carrera convertible drove way too close for comfort.  While such handling would impress some, narrowly missing my backside by a few INCHES was unsettling.

Needless to say, the word "jerk" was muttered.  I'm just glad I didn't wind up with heart palpitations from the fright, so the meds are doing something to keep me from jumping out of my skin.

I noticed how he kind of slowly cruised past the empty Farmers Branch police car here at the corner Wal-mart's parking lot.  Just like I've been saying: an empty squad car is an ineffective deterrent.  Though had there been an officer in the car, I doubt he would have seen what transpired in his rear view mirror.
