I kid you not here.
At 10:59 p.m., someone in a big quad cab black truck attempted to strike myself and another resident. The other resident and I were off to the side talking, and the truck had plenty of room, no other traffic going the other way. I heard the truck screech his tires when he revved his engine. He gunned it past us, getting way too close for comfort, and his sound system was blaring. (For the record, I was dressed in light clothing and had a bag that's a light grey in my cart. There's no way you couldn't see a large woman dressed in light clothing.)
This truck, though I didn't get the plate number (and couldn't post it here for legal reasons anyway), had very dark-tinted windows.
The other resident called the cops. Today, he told me that the cops promised to "check it out" but neither of us believe the police will do squat about it.
I think the Farmers Branch Police Department and maybe even City Hall needs to be investigated. In-depth.
Either that, or property owners should protest by not paying property taxes next year. Maybe then the city will understand that taxpayers deserve REAL PROTECTION, not the "jar of leeches" that the FBPD is at present.
